The conference featured&#160;one day of professional development, engaging around 200 pre-service and in-service&#160;teachers. The workshops exemplified&#160;racial equity, social justice, and culturally responsive learning. This conference is&#160;co-sponsored by 
   <a href="/arts/cilker/_layouts/15/https&" target="_blank">Lurie College of Education</a> at San Jose State University and the&#160;<a href="/arts/cilker/_layouts/15/http&">·¬ÇÑÉçÇø Office of Education</a>.<a href="/arts/Pages/default.aspx"></a><br></p><hr /><h3>Thanks For A Successful 2023 Cilker Conference!<br></h3><p>Thanks to our volunteers, presenters, and participants for making the 2023 Marion Cilker&#160; Conference&#160;for Arts in Education a success!&#160; Thank you to Dr. Mary Ann Dewan and Dean Heather Lattimer for their warm welcome words&#160;at the Opening Session at 8&#58;30 a.m. Thank you to Tshaka Campbell for his inspirational keynote.&#160; He underscored the importance of teachers as dream-makers.&#160;The presenters offered engaging opportunities for art-making.
